Abstract:

CipherEngine is a European educational project co-funded by the European Union that aims to integrate cybersecurity and cryptography into secondary school curricula. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary learning activities, the project promotes the development of essential digital competencies among students, awareness of online threats, and safe digital citizenship.

Key outcomes include the development of educator toolkits with curriculum-aligned materials, professional development training for teachers, and local networks supporting educational events across the participating countries.

The consortium brings together institutions from the Netherlands, Cyprus, Greece, and Spain. Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) participates as the Spanish partner, contributing its expertise in computational research and STEM education.
