6 students from the GRAFO group recognized as excellent students at the URJC.

Within the university community of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, there have been many students who have excelled in different areas during the 2020-2021 academic year, either by winning different competitions or by maintaining a good position in the annual academic rankings.

On April 5 in the auditorium of the rectorate building students: Alejandra Casado, Isaac Lozano, Javier Yuste, Raúl Martín, Sergio Cavero and Sergio Pérez received the mention as excellent students of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos for the merits obtained during the academic year 2020-2021. The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor for Students Almudena López López, the directors of the different schools within the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and the Deputy Directors of students of the same.

Phd in Artificial Intelligence

Nicolás Rodríguez Uribe graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in 2015. Subsequently, he completed a Master’s Degree in Decision Systems Engineering in 2018 and obtained his Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence from the same university in 2022. His main research interests focus on heuristics and metaheuristics, combinatorial optimization, trajectory algorithms, genetic algorithms, and multi-objective problems. He is a member of the high-performance research group in optimization algorithms (GRAFO) at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Most of his publications deal with the development of heuristic and metaheuristic procedures to solve complex optimization problems.
